On April 5, the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) in Hanoi came to work at Cantho Promotion Agency (CPA). Welcoming the delegation, on the side of CPA Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngoc – Deputy Director of CPA and representatives of the city’s departments, on the side of BOI, Mr. Audsitti Sroithong – Director of Thai Enterprise Development Division, Mr. Amnat Chulajata – Minister Counsellor (Invesment), Director in Hanoi and more than 30 Thai enterprises operating in many fields.

At the meeting, the potential and strengths of investment, trade and socio-economic situation of Can Tho city were introduced. The two sides exchanged information on investment and trade cooperation opportunities in the city, investment incentive policies, raw material sourcing and trade connection between Thai enterprises and Can Tho enterprises in the fields of food and agriculture industry, construction materials, consumer products production, digital services and software industry, electronics and household electricity, industrial park real estate, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, logistics, petrochemical, chemical and plastic, textile and garment industries.

The visit and work between BOI and departments and agencies of Can Tho city is expected to open up many opportunities for investment and cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam in general and Can Tho city in particular./.
