The existence

Coming to Can Tho, few people can ignore Binh Thuy communal house, a destination with unique cultural and architectural history. Visiting the communal house on May, tourist Phi Van Lang (Hanoi), said: “My group visited Can Tho and was taken by a guide to visit Binh Thuy communal house. The communal house has very beautiful architecture, carved with unique motifs, the space here is quiet and sacred. Dinh Binh Thuy is one of the familiar addresses in the tours in Can Tho, often introduced to tourists by travel agencies. However, the number of visitors is often unstable and there are some problems. According to the Board of Directors of Binh Thuy Communal House, the biggest concern is that many delegations have guides but do not understand deeply and widely enough about the communal house, so tourists do not know correctly about the history and architecture of the communal house. Another difficulty is that communal houses and pagodas are places where visitors from all over the world worship and often do not charge fees, so it is also very difficult to manage the source of visitors.

Mr. Le Van Muoi, Deputy Head of the Executive Board of Binh Thuy Communal House, shared: “For visitors in groups of travel companies, we hope that the units can contact the explanation at the point or the Board of Directors. family for appropriate instructions”. Mr. Do Thanh Tung, Director of Mekong Delta Adventure Tourism and Events Co., Ltd., said: “It is very important to have an on-site narrator. Through the Management Board of the monuments or the narrator at the site, we know all the good and unique points in each destination.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Duy, Head of the Executive Board of Tan An Communal House, also expressed: “Tan An communal house has a long history, located in the inner city but in fact very few people know about it. Visitors here are few. On tourist maps or tours of travel agencies, there is no Tan An communal house. We always want to have solutions and connections so that visitors can know more about Tan An communal house.”

Troubleshooting

On the basis of the orientation of building tour routes on cultural tourism, spiritual, Can Tho Tourism Development Center organized a survey team with many travel agencies in the city, in order to find out the inadequacies, difficult to remove step by step. Mr. Tran Thanh Nghi, Director of Benthanh Tourist Can Tho, said: “Cultural and spiritual tourism is always an essential need related to the spiritual life of tourists. When tourists come to Can Tho, they also find many places to worship, especially recently Can Tho has added a new destination, the Temple of the Hung Kings. Through the survey, we know many new destinations and have a basis for travel agencies to build routes specializing in cultural tourism, spiritual. Mr. Le Van Muoi, Deputy Head of the Board of Management of Binh Thuy Communal House, said: “The survey of travel agencies creates motivation for the tourism development of the communal house to become better and better, opening up opportunities for tourists know more about Binh Thuy communal house. Thereby connecting with travel agencies to build tighter tours, more stable visitors, better organization.” Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Nguyen Van Duy, Head of the Executive Board of Tan An communal house, also said that through the survey, travel agencies will grasp the activities and unique points in each place, from which they can building reasonable tour routes, attracting tourists.

Solving the existing difficulties of destinations, Mr. Do Thanh Tung, Director of Mekong Delta Events and Adventure Travel Co., Ltd., said: “For group guests, travel agencies – we need locations provides the source to be able to relate the notes at point. For retail customers, the locality should have audio recordings available and broadcast in destinations. In addition, there are guide diagrams so that even individual visitors can follow the appropriate sightseeing instructions. For points in the inner city, I think the locality should build lines and coordinate with trams. Because nowadays, customers use the service to explore the inner city by electric car a lot.” Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Thanh Nghi, director of Benthanh Tourist Can Tho, said: “In order for these destinations to attract many tourists, the locality needs many ancillary services. Based on the history, culture or uniqueness of each site, appropriate activities can be built or recreated. Specifically, at the Temple of Hung Kings, support for flower offerings, incense offerings, memorial ceremonies can be considered…”

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, said: “Can Tho has great potential for developing cultural tourism, spiritual because of its system of cultural relics – rich history. In the past time, these spots have been promoted and connected to travel agencies so that they can build suitable tour routes. Currently, we are still coordinating with localities to find ways to effectively exploit these types of tourism. We select the suggestions of travel agencies to adjust, renew and add appropriate services to promote the potential of cultural and spiritual tourism.

Can Tho currently has 37 recognized cultural – historical relics, including 14 national-level relics and 23 city-level relics.

City People’s Committee promulgates Plan No. 89/KH-UBND on April 14, 2021 on “Preserving and promoting historical-cultural relics, intangible cultural heritages, craft villages, scenic spots associated with tourism development in Can Tho city in the period of 2021-2025”. In which, there are 3 key tasks: preserving and promoting the value of historical-cultural relics in the city, preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage associated with tourism development, promote the value of craft villages associated with tourism. At the same time, the locality is also implementing the project “Preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage of Can Tho city in the period of 2021-2025 with orientation to 2030”.
